Villa Rimba

About the project

Perched gently above the rice fields, Villa Rimba reinterprets Mediterranean design through a distinctly Balinese lens. Framed by arched windows and softened whitewashed walls, the architecture embraces openness, natural light, and an effortless indoor–outdoor connection. The silhouette feels coastal, yet grounded in the tropical landscape that surrounds it.

Inside, warmth becomes the defining element. Solid timber surfaces, woven rattan chairs, cane detailing, and handcrafted decor pieces create a tactile and inviting atmosphere. The kitchen island — sculpted from natural wood — anchors the communal space, while layered pendant lighting adds a subtle European charm. Every material is honest and organic, celebrating texture over ornament.

The bedroom retreat balances intimacy and airiness, with floor-to-ceiling drapery, earthy textiles, and carefully curated wall art that enhance the villa’s relaxed sophistication. Large arched openings frame the rice field views like living artwork, blurring the boundary between interior comfort and the raw beauty of nature.

Villa Rimba is a Mediterranean-inspired Bali villa where rustic elegance meets tropical serenity, designed as a timeless escape that feels both refined and deeply connected to its surroundings.
