Kajano Kid’s Room

About the project
For the Kayan’s Kid’s Room project, Paz Studio embraced a Vintage Tropical aesthetic that transports the occupant to a world of curated adventure and old world charm. The design is anchored by sustainable rattan furniture, including a classic arched changing station and a large circular display shelf that showcases a collection of plush animals and heirloom wooden toys. We layered rich textures like velvet alligator floor cushions and ochre linens against a warm, neutral backdrop to create a space that feels grounded yet full of life. Hand-drawn animal prints and vintage-inspired world maps adorn the walls, while a custom teepee and lion-themed jute rug define dedicated zones for play and discovery.
Functionality and whimsical details coexist throughout the room to support a growing child’s daily rhythms. We utilized a mix of open timber shelving and woven storage baskets to keep the environment organized while ensuring that favorite books and treasures remain easily accessible. Soft, ambient lighting is provided by cloud-shaped wall lamps and delicate string lights that weave through the rattan structures, casting a gentle glow for evening stories. By combining botanical motifs with traditional craftsmanship, Paz Studio created a nostalgic sanctuary that celebrates the spirit of exploration within the comfort of a beautifully designed home.
