Villa Joyia

About the project

Villa Joyia is a lyrical exploration of Coastal & Tropical living, where the lush density of the jungle meets the refined clarity of modern architecture. We conceived the space as a series of transparent glass pavilions that dissolve the barrier between the sanctuary of the home and the vibrant green soul of the landscape. Here, the design is defined by its verticality; towering palms frame sun-drenched terraces and a glass-walled infinity pool that appears to spill directly into the forest canopy.

The interior narrative celebrates an eclectic, global spirit through a curated mix of bold patterns and artisanal textures. We anchored the living areas with grounding elements—sunk-in wooden lounges with burnt-orange cushions and intricate Persian rugs—while the dining space features custom-woven chairs in a rhythmic black-and-tan stripe. Above, sculptural, cloud-like pendant lights cast a soft, ethereal glow, mirroring the organic shapes found in the world outside. Every room is a gallery of intentional details, from the traditional wood-carved cabinets to a collection of vibrant, bird-themed artwork that echoes the tropical wildlife.

Our philosophy for Villa Joyia was to create a place of ritual and deep rest, where the architecture serves as a quiet witness to nature’s rhythms. Whether it is the freestanding stone tub positioned to overlook the swaying palms or the minimalist bedrooms where light filters through sheer curtains onto warm timber floors, the villa is an invitation to slow down. At Paz Studio, we believe a home should be a vessel for light and air, and Villa Joyia stands as our testament to a life lived in perfect, tropical harmony.
